Britto Tours America is the brainchild of John S. Kokinchak, Executive Vice President of Property Management for Developers Diversified Realty. He has been a fan of Britto since receiving a bottle of Absolut Vodka with the special-edition Britto label as a gift in the early ‘90s. While Kokinchak was visiting Britto's Miami gallery to discuss the installation of three of Britto’s monumental sculptures at a Developers Diversified shopping center in Miami, conversations began about showing the artist’s work to people across the country.
That discussion turned into a first-of-its-kind sculpture tour for the artist and the developer. The 12 large sculptures will visit 11 Developers Diversified shopping centers nationwide, introducing his work to a whole new audience.
